Every now and then, I get the chance to step away from my coloring pages and dive into a completely different kind of illustration project 😊 Recently, I had the pleasure of creating the full cover illustration and editorial design for Zerwane Połączenie by Helen Parker, published by Possire.
The book is a hopeful and emotional love story with heartbreak, healing and a little spice along the way. From the very beginning, we wanted the cover to feel symbolic and meaningful without giving too much away. I started with a few rough concept sketches, slowly developed the illustration, and finally brought everything together into the finished cover design.
One of my favorite things about working with Possire is their approach to collaboration. They’re a woman-owned Polish publishing house focused mainly on romance and erotica, but what truly makes them stand out is how much creative space they give their authors. The writers are genuinely involved in the visual direction of their books, and the entire publishing process feels very personal and respectful toward the people creating the stories. As an illustrator, that’s incredibly refreshing to see.
